New Jersey Personal Injury Lawyers

duragesic patchIf you or a loved one used the Duragesic patch before March 1, 2008, and suffered harm or even death, you may be entitled to compensation. The experienced New Jersey Duragesic attorneys of Anapol Schwartz have helped many others file claims for harm and death due to the Duragesic patch, and they can help you too.

Living your life in constant pain is no picnic. For some chronic pain sufferers, opioid pain relieving medications like Fentanyl are one of the only solutions. Fentanyl is often delivered via a ‘transdermal’ patch—a patch placed on your skin-- to treat severe chronic pain 24 hours a day for up to 3 days per patch.

So imagine discovering that the makers of one of these patches, called the Duragesic patch, contained a manufacturing flaw that could cause you to accidentally overdose.

That’s exactly what happened. On February 21, 2008, Johnson & Johnson recalled the Duragesic patch because of this deadly reason. On March 1, 2008, Activis, the pharmaceutical company that manufactures the patch, recalled all Fentanyl transdermal system CII patches in the United States, including the Duragesic patch.

Some Side Effects of the Duragesic Patch
