Attention Chevrolet Volt Owners! Is Your Car Safe?

Last month, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a probe into the safety of the battery pack in the Chevrolet Volt. The Volt is a plug in hybrid car and the concern over the lithium based batteries is that they will catch fire and create serious, potentially life threatening, situations.

Chevrolet has announced that it will provide replacement cars, free of charge, to Volt owners until the NTSA safety probe is resolved and the potential motor vehicle product liability issue has been decided.

Do you drive a Volt? Will you be taking advantage of Chevrolet’s offer and are you concerned about the safety of your vehicle?
